Trainee developer

“It’s amazing to be able to train and work at the same time, learning every day from an expert IT team. They’re so friendly; everyone is inclusive and lovely. I have a mentor and I do independent coding training too. I feel very lucky.”

“I didn’t take the most conventional route into IT. I did a film degree, taught English in China and then worked in digital marketing. I was looking for a change when a friend got talking about coding.

Coding sounded interesting. I tried a couple of free online coding courses and liked it, especially because when you’re coding you can see what you’ve made straight away and see it building up.

I decided that coding was for me and was thrilled to land a Trainee Developer role at PKF Francis Clark. It’s amazing to be able to train and work at the same time, learning every day from an expert IT team. They’re so friendly; everyone is inclusive and lovely. Everyone has to start somewhere. If you’re thinking of getting into IT then I’d say go for it. It’s fun and there are lots of opportunities out there.”
