Commercial insight and firmwide impact
Our internal finance team partners with leaders across the firm to shape decisions, safeguard performance, and plan for long-term growth. If you’re practice-trained or coming from industry, you’ll find work here that goes beyond reporting: you’ll influence how the firm invests, hires, prices, and prioritises.
This team is the engine room of the business: we provide commercial insight, manage risk, and steward cash and working capital (around £15m) – translating data into practical choices. For you, that means high-visibility work, close partnership with decision-makers, and the chance to see your insight shape what the firm does next.
Roles in the team typically sit within three areas:
- Purchase ledger – supplier onboarding, processing and payment runs
- Credit control and management accounting – billing, WIP/debt, budgeting and forecasting
- Finance management – controls, cash and working capital, scenario planning, and governance

Your remit will blend hands-on operational finance with forward-looking planning. You’ll build a strong control environment, partnering with stakeholders across the firm. Just as importantly, you’ll help us improve how we work: simplifying processes, strengthening controls, and making insight easier for leaders to use.
Our work keeps the firm moving: we protect cashflow and working capital, strengthen financial controls, and provide timely insight that leaders use to make decisions. We’re always looking for ways to streamline processes, automate, and make reporting clearer and faster – so we value curious people who enjoy finding better ways to do things.
