We drive the day to day running of the business

We act as the interface between our managers and their clients. We get to know clients and understand their needs. We work collaboratively with the operational teams, always seeking ways to enhance the client’s experience. The key activities we undertake are client engagement, managing workflow and processes and getting involved in client events.

We have three core groups in the team:

  • PAs – on-hand to support the partners and directors as well as engaging with our clients
  • Business support colleagues – we maintain the facilities of each office, ensuring we’re adhering to policies and procedures and that everything is running smoothly
  • Reception teams – providing a warm welcome and friendly and knowledgeable point of contact to support our visitors

Business Support Administrator

Exeter, PA, secretarial and support

We’re here to support colleagues in delivering the highest standards of client care and service.

Our 50+ strong team provides a business support hub in every one of our eight offices. We are a talented and highly professionalised team, led by a Head of Admin. We use a globally recognised skills matrix to help you take your career to the next level; here you can aim high and enjoy the journey along the way. You’re encouraged to progress through the levels, or become expert at a particular level, whatever suits you. You’ll always have the support you need to become the best professional you can.

To stay connected we have weekly online calls as well as face to face catch ups. We have an annual away day for the whole team and regular social catch ups in each of the offices.

While we’re each aligned to an office, we all recognise that our resilience and success is far wider when we come together as a whole team, so we’re big on peer to peer learning and on sharing best practice. Working collaboratively is key to creating a team spirit – everyone’s input matters.

We have the rewarding opportunity to create a great working environment for people firmwide, and to contribute to the local environment and community. For example we organise team events and link our teams with their local communities through green initiatives and volunteering days.

Headshot of Alix.

“I have a lot of autonomy in my role which allows me to explore and develop things in my own way. My role taps into my natural strengths so I am always being my authentic self at work. I am a huge fan of collaborative working and the firm is bursting at the seams with talented experts who want to be part of the solution and support each other to get the best possible outcome.”

“I’ve done a range of things I am proud of here. I’ve organised events and conferences, helped write policies, transitioned to a role with a lot more responsibility and helped open our Bristol office. I now feel well established in my role – it’s as if the role is just right for me.”
