“I had just finished my A levels and after few months in the world of work I was looking for a more meaningful career. I wasn’t keen to go to university or to move away from Torbay and the South West coastline, but I was ready for a challenge and keen to learn new things.

In my first interview with PKF Francis Clark Financial Planning we spoke about the exams that would advance my career. I could see it was a great opportunity for me, this was it! Since day one we have always talked about what is next for me.

I joined ten years ago as a Junior Client Liaison, providing admin support to one of our Financial Planners and their clients. After a couple of years I had a few exams under my belt and was promoted to become a Paraplanner. In this role I was working alongside Financial Planners to create and build financial plans to meet our clients’ needs.

I kept at it with the study and achieved the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. I am now a Financial Planner, with clients of my own. I like to understand what really matters to my clients so that we build a plan that supports their life goals – I’m here to help them to forge whatever future they want.

I’ve come full circle in that I now manage some of the clients I used to support as a Client Liaison. I’m proud to have been serving them all that time and I am well on my way to the highly respected Chartered Financial Planner status. I’m happy to have found PKF Francis Clark Financial Planning; I’ve got a great career, exactly where I wanted it.”
