“It was a year ago and I’d just graduated with a first class honours degree in Business Management from Cardiff University. I was excited but uncertain about what I’d do next.

I moved home to Exeter and got a job while I looked for graduate roles in Bristol or London. I thought I’d have to move to get the job I wanted but then I found PKF Francis Clark in Exeter which seemed like a perfect opportunity. I’d be able to progress my career within a fast paced and successful Corporate Finance team right here in Exeter, and with the option to work in Bristol too.

I’m now supporting sales, acquisitions, and valuations of businesses. I love the responsibility I am given on projects. I have a lot of autonomy and the team are very open to considering my ideas, even though I’m relatively new to this! I am trusted with challenging projects but also given support when I need it.

Everyone in the team is so willing to take time out of their busy days to teach me things and help me develop. I’m so grateful that everyone is committed to helping me to progress my career. People can be themselves here which makes for a fun and dynamic team, and it feels like one big family.

I soon start training to become Chartered Accountant, with my training and exams all fully funded by the firm. I love my team and I love where I live. I’m really enjoying where this new chapter is taking me!”
