“I moved to Devon six months ago after uni. I’m really enjoying settling into life in the bay. I’m often out exploring the many beaches and coastal walks South Devon has on offer. I can enjoy a walk in the countryside, get some fresh air, and ease into the morning before starting work.

As a trainee accountant, I get to meet lots of different people and businesses. I get a wide range of learning opportunities and a feel for the different paths that I could pursue as my career develops.

People are willing to help and explain things, at all levels from partners to seniors. It is easy to approach and talk to my colleagues. I didn’t come from an accounting background so there was a bit of a learning curve, but I am figuring things out and improving. Having people here who support me means a lot as it has increased my confidence and helped me get acclimatised to my new career.

The social side is good too. There are plenty of socials such as go karting, poker and quiz nights. During lunch you’ll most likely see me glued to the ping pong table wreaking havoc on my opponents.”
