People team
Be you. Bring the knowledge.
Shape the firm’s future – develop capability, energise talent and drive performance
Join a people team that’s trusted to influence the decisions that shape our culture, leadership capability and long-term performance. You’ll partner with leaders across the firm, resolve complex people questions, and turn strategy into practical programmes.
What matters most on this team? Enjoying our work whilst doing a really great and professional job – with open communication, inclusivity and supportive colleagues.
HR here is broad and fast-moving – and you’ll be encouraged to lead, not just deliver. You might be building leadership capability through coaching or targeted development programmes, improving our attraction and onboarding processes, using data insights to drive change and influence decisions or embedding into day-to-day practices. One thing is for sure, the work is varied and no two days are the same!
Because our work spans the full employee lifecycle, there are clear routes to grow your influence – whether you choose to deepen expertise in a specialism or build breadth as a trusted people partner working directly with senior stakeholders.

How we’re organised
There are three core groups in the team:
Talent and learning – We design and deliver firmwide programmes that build capability and strengthen our talent pipeline. This spans everything from inductions, leadership development and coaching and professional qualifications. We are also responsible for attraction, sourcing, selection and onboarding of candidates. We work closely with the business and marketing to ensure we attract the right people at the right time.
People partners – We work directly with leaders to shape and deliver people strategies that enable performance. That means advising on organisation design, workforce planning, leadership capability, employee engagement and change. We bring a consistent, values-led approach while tailoring solutions to local needs – making sure people considerations are built into strategic decisions, not added at the end.
People services – The first point of contact for people, payroll and benefits queries, providing clear advice and timely resolution. We also keep the firm running smoothly by owning critical people processes and producing insightful data for informed decisions.
Career progression
We’re intentional about development and creating progression opportunities. You might grow within a specialism (for example, learning or recruitment), move into people partnering to broaden your strategic exposure, or develop deep operational expertise.
As you progress, you’ll take on wider stakeholder ownership, lead projects and programmes, mentor others, and build the commercial confidence needed for leadership roles within the people function.
Why join our people team?
You’ll enjoy these roles if any of the following apply:
- You’re an experienced HR adviser ready to broaden into strategic partnering
- You’re a HR business partner looking for a role with genuine influence on culture, leadership and organisational priorities
- You’re a specialist who want to use their expertise to shape firmwide decisions
- You enjoy improving processes and using data to drive better outcomes
We’re here to put people considerations at the heart of the firm’s priorities.
You’ll work with leaders and teams across the business to solve complex challenges and help colleagues thrive. And you’ll have the full support of a collaborative team – we solve problems together, learn quickly and back each other to deliver the best outcome.
The people team is spread across our offices, with a real mix of hybrid working. The nature of our work means we’re in constant touch with colleagues across the firm, building relationships and understanding what teams need to perform at their best.
We come together as a whole team virtually each week, with regular catch-ups within each group, and quarterly face-to-face team days to tackle big priorities and make time for team building.

We have a real mix of career development opportunities, from studying your CIPD level 5-7, through to internal leadership training and external conferences. It really depends on your individual training needs. We discuss these at both our annual performance development review and career conversations and as needed as we go along through regular one-to-ones with line managers.
