We support one another and we care passionately about securing sound financial futures for our clients.
We are chartered independent financial planners. We look holistically at our clients’ financial situation and help them plan for their future aspirations. This could be supporting their children’s further education, sustainable investing, buying that dream yacht, or making sure they have enough for a comfortable retirement whilst planning for the eventualities like the need for care in later life.
If you’re looking for a financial planning job then Francis Clark Financial Planning can offer you a varied career. We work with clients across the firm from all walks of life, but they all tend to want to plan and safeguard their financial future. Our main demographic is 50s upwards, but not always. We work with businesses, including family businesses, individuals, and couples.
Our Financial Planners who are supported by Client Liaisons who provide the best service to our clients and Paraplanners who do the research and prepare detailed forecasts and technical reports. We also have an Investment Committee which connects with fund managers and look after our centralised investment proposition and compliance. We’re a 70 strong team so you’re never on your own and there is always someone with whom you can bounce around an idea.
Our new starters spend some time with the different departments to understand all the areas of the business and everyone has a buddy to help them settle in too.
We fully support and encourage development – there are many opportunities with our financial planning jobs. We take time to understand what an individual wants from their career, this could be progression into a different role or being the best they can be within their existing role. You’ll have your own development and program which includes regular check-ins on progress. We support professional qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or where applicable other professional bodies. And there are regular internal training sessions to keep your knowledge bang up-to-date, including two full away days every year.
It depends on the role, but essentially, being a people person with great communication skills is what you need in this team. Candidates who love business and are numerate are highly desirable and would be a perfect fit for our financial planning jobs.
We invest in people and we develop people in the team. We’ve got a good reputation because we do the right things by our clients and by our colleagues. There’s an open and caring culture with a flat structure. The management team are accessible and everyone has a voice. Our great range of clients will push your learning to the maximum and we’ll support you to grow in the direction that best fulfils your potential.
We have regular socials and team days to bring everyone together, every few months. For example we recently went axe-throwing together and also had a training and team bonding day at Buckfast Abbey. We get together for volunteering days too, going out to help in our local communities.
Everyone within our financial planning team works together both in the office and virtually, we have regular Teams calls to keep everyone in touch with key updates. We have regular socials, payday breakfasts and we send around a Friday update which is a round-up of things people are doing, mostly non-work related activities.
