“We wanted to leave London to bring up our children in Devon. It feels like fate that PKF Francis Clark were advertising for a HR Director just at the time we were looking to move.

After a couple of conversations I knew it was the right opportunity for me. I get to use my skills and experience to make real changes to how we develop and look after our people. I have a fulfilling career working with brilliant people, and as a family we get to live in a beautiful part of the world.

I am so fortunate to have a genuinely brilliant team of talented individuals who are dedicated to delivering results and having some fun along the way. I aim to give my team a sense of purpose and then empower them to achieve it through trust and compassion.

We have always been a ‘people business’ but now people are central to our strategy and decision making across the firm. As a non-accountant, I often have different views which I feel are sought and valued. I feel listened to and recognised for my team’s contribution to this fantastic business.

The size of the firm is not too big, not too small, it’s just right! We’re big enough to be able to give people fantastic experiences with lots of investment in their development, but small enough to care and feel valued for being ourselves.
