“The thing I most enjoy about my role is hearing the excitement and joy when we make a job offer. I’m fortunate as working in talent acquisition means I get to change lives though my daily work.

My team are fun, very outgoing, committed, and supportive. Some of my colleagues have turned into good friends and everyone is approachable and open. In my role as a team leader I really enjoy seeing others achieve their professional and personal goals. I learn loads from my team too. In my first year we hired over 200 people, as well as our new trainees, and that was a huge achievement for us.

To be yourself at work, you have to be your whole self. This includes being realistic about the less positive elements. I’ve been encouraged and supported by my managers to focus on areas of development, particularly work-life balance. This has really strengthened me and I’ve cascaded this approach to my own team too.

I’ve got flexibility and I’m completely empowered to do my best work when and where I want to, ensuring it suits my clients, team, and personal commitments. I’ll often log on early or late so that I can fit in a quick 30-minute Peloton ride between meetings!

I wasn’t actively looking for a new job when this one came up, but the interview felt really honest and I was able to understand a lot about the values of the firm so it felt like the right move. Taking this role has been the best decision of my career so far – it’s truly a great place to be.”
