“Our group works very collaboratively, and I am given the freedom to manage my own workload and take on projects that challenge me. At the same time I can request help whenever I need it; managers are always happy to give advice on how to move forward and the wider team do an amazing job of supporting one another. As a team we check in with one another regularly, but not only about work stuff. People care about how you’re getting on personally and about your mental health and wellbeing.”
“I was running a dog boarding business with my wife, which I’m still involved with, when I found myself really enjoying working on the company accounts.
I then applied to PKF Francis Clark to train as an accountant, via an ACA accountancy apprenticeship. I’ve followed an unusual career path, having previously worked in sales for Sky and then as a Web Developer.
Throughout the application process the firm were keen to engage with me as a person. People made the time to speak with me about the role and what the work would involve. They got to know me beyond my CV. I got the sense of a caring culture at the firm, and everyone I met was welcoming, friendly and seemed to enjoy working here. When I was offered the role I knew enough to feel confident that I’d enjoy being part of the team.

I can be myself here. I’m comfortable putting forward suggestions, I’m free to share opinions and I’ve got to know so many people. It’s simply a great place to work.”
