“Something had to change. I’d long enjoyed working as a Retail Manager but after I had my children it no longer worked for me because the hours weren’t family friendly.

A friend at PKF Francis Clark told me that my skills from retail management would transfer across to the firm. They were looking for people who could do business development, manage client relationships and organise events so I applied for a role here. I got it and since joining nine years ago I’ve not felt the need to look at jobs anywhere else.

The firm is great at spotting potential and giving you opportunities to shine and move up. I’ve progressed through several roles here. I now manage a team of Marketing Executives and Co-ordinators supporting client-facing teams right across the firm.

I love managing people. I like coaching them and helping with their challenges. I try to strike the balance between giving them the space they need and making sure they know that my door is always open. I’m here to help them grow in confidence. I’m so proud of my team; seeing them succeed is the best bit of my job.

I think that the firm is moving to the next level. We’re growing, we’ve got hybrid working and we’ve overhauled our account management practices to better serve our clients. There is more going on in terms of environmental and volunteering initiatives too. I love it here and I’m very proud to be part of the team.”
